HAIR PRODUCT REVIEWS: TIGI BED HEAD, CHI, PAUL MITCHELL, KMS CALIFORNIA.

Heyyyy long time no see!! So I am back!
So sorry I haven't been updating my blog lately, I needed a little break to really concentrate on my studies, but I am back now and I have a lot of exciting things for the whole summer!

This post is all about high-end hair care products and I am going to give my honest opinions on these. I have divided them into sections by the brand: Tigi Bed Head, CHI, Paul Mitchell and KMS California.

Lets begin!

Starting of with Tigi Bed Head Small Talk, I love this product! It promises to: thicken the hair, by adding volume and body. Energize, give life to limp hair. Style, defines, separates and controls. And let me tell you, it actually does all those things! This is perfect if you have dry, flat, frizzy and thin hair. Like it says, it makes the hair thicker, controlled and adds moisture, but not greasy at all (unless you pour the whole bottle on your head, which I do not recommend :D). I use this on damp hair, spread it all over the hair, concentrating on the roots for volume, and then  blow dry it and use a hairbrush to style it. You can also leave it to air dry, if you are lazy, like I am sometimes haha :D After its dry, go over with a flat iron if needed. PERFECT for doing curls, makes them really shiny and holds them well :) Smells like blueberries, which is always a big plus.

I was really excited about this Tigi Bed Head Totally Baked product. Volumizing & Prepping hair meringue. The smell of this is DIVINE! It smells like lemon, vanilla, cotton candy, meringue perfection. If this was a perfume, I would swin in it. Unfortunately, I was not that pleased with this product :( It definitely adds volume to thin hair, but it makes my hair really hard and sticky. I am someone who likes to play with my hair and touch it throughout the day, and it just makes my hands really sticky and dirty feeling (although it does smell awesome). I do use this product occasionally when I feel like my hair is really flat and unruly, but not as many times as I would have hoped, considering the price :/.

Continuing with divine smelling products, I present you Tigi Bed Head Sugar Shock! Hair bodifying sugar spray. As the previous one, this smells like heaven, just pure sweet, sugary, candy-ness. When I bought this, I wasn't really sure how and what should I use this for, but turned out this is one of my favorite products ever! On the instructions it says to mist into dry hair for a tousled look or layer throughout for extreme texture, fullness and hold. I don't do that. I simply spray this into my wet hair, brush it through and blow dry it normally. It leaves the hair textured, but not hard at all! It also does add volume and hold, and it is just that basic product that I think everyone should own!

Next bundle!
This Tigi Bed Head Glaze Haze is a semi-sweet smoothing hair serum. Again, smells amazing and leaves your hair really shiny and smooth, BUT be careful! If used too much, it can make your hair look really greasy and dirty looking :/ So use a very small amount, avoiding roots! It also says that it fights humidity and speeds up drying time. This may be true, but I didn't notice any drastic difference in my hair, but it is a nice thought though :D Maybe I'll do a "scientific" test and take time next time I use it haha!

Tigi Bed Head Headrush is a wonderful and a very long lasting product!! It is a shine spray without any oils, so no matter how much you use it, it won't leave hair greasy. It is superfine and feels luxurious and something a little extra! I don't use this everyday, as it is a high-end product, and my hair can look good without it. So I use this product mainly when going out and special occasions, because it just makes the moment feel special and puts you in the mood!

I bought Tigi Bed Head After Party as it was recommended in some YouTube video, and it really impressed me. Now the packaging may be a little misleading haha, and it has made some of my guests wondering like "wait, what is that?!" haha :D put it is a really good hair product! It says: Smoothing cream for silky, shiny, healthy looking hair. The name suggests that it should literally be used after parties, when you wake up somewhere unknow, and your hair is looking like a mess. Just spread this all over and you are ready to go again! Again, too much of this product makes it look greasy, so be careful! Definitely a long lasting product and a must have for dry hair people! Smells good as you can expect from Tigi :D

Lets move on to CHI!
CHI was also introduced to me from YouTube, and I bought these both from a sale, so I wasn't really intending on buying them. The CHI Pliable Polish is a lot like the After Party cream discussed previously, except the smell is very off putting :/ It smells like an old mans cologne, and not in a good way. Good smoothing product, it doesn't dry into your hair, so you can mold, shape and restyle it throughout the day without it feeling sticky or stiff feel. OK product after all!

The next product, CHI Infra Texture, is a real mystery. I really don't know what to use this product for :D It says on the bottle: dual active hairspray. It promises long lasting shine and hold, and its recommended to use with curling and flat irons. It can act as a hairspray, but doesn't hold the hair really well and it is sticky. Same when using heat tools, it just makes it harder overall. And again, the smell is VERY bad, I don't like this product, although I really really wanted to :D

New brand, Paul Mitchell!!
Paul Mitchell extra body daily boost root lifter, was actually given to me by my sister, she said it didn't work on her. Didn't really do much on me either :/ I can feel that it gives texture on the roots, but it doesn't make my hair voluminous and gorgeous. I still sometimes use this, and I spray it straight to my roots and then spread it with a hairbrush, and then blowdry it. So if you feel like you need texture and you have thin hair, it is a great product, similar to Tigis Sugar Shock, but not nearly as good.

This next one, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, I absolutely LOVE!! Smells heavenly, like artificial watermelon, and it stays in your hair too! It just makes your hair really easy to work with, making it silky smooth and shiny hair, without making them unruly and "slippery". I sometimes use this on damp hair, let it air dry or blow dry it, and it is just amazing :D It also has a heat protectant, so it is safe to style your hair with heat aferwards.

Another interesting product, Paul Mitchell Hot off the press, is a spray on heat protectant, but in an aerosol can. It's interesting, because the finish is very much like a hairspray, which confused me on the first try. So it basically is heat protectant and protecting from humidity too. It has a lot of good ingredients, making the hair stronger and healthier. It creates a shield on the surface of the hair, which then protects it from the heat. Now this sounds amazing, but as it is really hairspray-y it makes the hair really stick together, making it hard to separate sections for straightening or curling the hair. But as a plus, if you have run out of hairspray, this can act as a replacement! :D

KMS California Silk Sheen Styling creme was a new brand for me, as my friend introduced it to me. It is also a high end product, and I am really enjoying it. If you are in a hurry in the mornings (ME!), you can put this on your wet hair, do your morning routine, go to work/school/etc. and let it air dry the whole time. When your hair is dry, you can basically shape it however you want to, and it will hold. Good especially for short hair! I didn't really notice any difference in shine or silky texture, but it does leave the hair smooth and again, healthy looking. Overall a good product, and I will definitely be trying new products from this brand!

So there you go! These are all my honest opinions, I really hope you find it helpful :)
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about these products, I am happy to answer them! And also if you have any product recommendations, suggestons for future posts, or any feedback, please let me know! I would love to have some discussions in the comments section.

Helloo!

I went to the movies this past Friday with friends to see the famous 50 Shades of Grey! And hmmm it was an experience XD I'm not really sure about how I feel about the movie, it was quite boring at some parts, and then at some parts toooo intense and really graphic :D I'm happy that it is rated 18, at least here in the UK, but I heard from my friend in Finland that it is 16 there... Anyways, I hope they make a sequel, because the ending was SHIT!

Sooo, I was really excited about my outfit, until I heard that it was raining!! So I was thinking should I put my leather sneakers or not, but ended up wearing them, so yay! :D

Vestiaire Collective Review/What I bought from there

Hayyyy!!

Can I just start by announcing that Rihannas new song FourFiveSeconds is out now!!! And I am obsesssed, I love Rih and I can't wait for her new album to be release, hopefully soon!

Okey, on to the days topic, I discovered this site Vestiaire Collective last summer, and basically it is a online-high-end- thrift store. So you buy used and sometimes new items from actual people or small companies, so not directly from the brand. The reason why Vestiaire Collective is sooo good, is because they check that all the items are authentic before sending it to the buyer. The process goes as follows:

1. You see a product that you want to buy and either a) discuss the price and ask questions from the seller, or then b) just pay the shown price that the seller has set. You pay the price for Vestiaire, and not directly for the seller.

2. The seller gets a notification that their product was sold and they are asked to send it over to the Vestiaire Collective head office. You start to waiting excitingly when your purchase will arrive!

3. In the head office, a professional team will evaluate the product and checks that it is as the seller described and that it matches the pictures online. They also check that it is authentic, they will not sell any fakes, which is good!! You hope that your baby passes the test and will be on the way to its new home soon.

4. If the product is as described and authentic, Vestiaire will send the product to you and pay the money to the seller, and take their commission. Almost home!

5. The most exciting part!! You receive your item, which is very well packaged so that your item doesn't get hurt during the transportation. Every product has a tag attached to it, and when you remove it, the item is completely yours! However, if the product is not the one you wanted, or you have changed your mind, no worries, you can still cancel the sale! Just don't take the tag off and follow the instructions provided.

6. Now you can enjoy your life with your new baby and use it as much as you like and take selfies!

I have bought a Louis Vuitton agenda and a Chanel vanity case. I love Vestiaire because I got these items for a really good price, and they are almost in perfect condition!!

This is very convenient, but I'm thinking of selling this because I don't use it as much as I'd want to :/ It is too big for everyday use for my school bag so I only take it with me when I travel, which is like every 3-4 months. But I like it a lot and it kinda reminds me of the old-times when Chanel was founded. Like old ladies in the 20's :D I love it!

But ohmgg this I love and I have been using it everyday since I got it. It even came with the stickers! The previous owner hadn't used them. I just had to buy new pages and thats it!

I do have one "negative" story!!
I saw these BEAUTIFUL white leather sneakers from YSL and they were only 300 euros and normally they are 500. I had been eyeing those on their own website and now I thought my opportunity had come and decided to click them to my shopping cart and paid the 300 euros! So, they informed the owner to send them to them. Waited for some weeks, didn't hear a response. I e-mailed them again asking for them and they said that they hadn't heard anything and that we have to wait for some time still. It ended up that the owner never send the shoes, maybe because they changed their mind, I never heard of them. BUT, the good thing is that they give you the full refund, so you don't actually lose anything :)
And another good thing, I found the same exact shoes from Farfetch.com for a little cheaper, and they were new :)

So, I HIGHLY recommend this site for all you luxury lovers :)!! Let me know if you have bought anything from Vestiaire, and how was the experience :)!

Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette Accessoires UNBOXING!

Holaaa!

I went to London this past weekend, and did a little shopping in Louis Vuitton :) That was my first ever visit to Louis Vuitton store and I will write a separate post about my experience. I was SO excited!! Now I will write about my purchase, Mini Pochette Accessoires in the Monogram canvas.

So I went to the Louis Vuitton store at New Bond Street, which I think is the biggest LV store in the UK (?). And this is what I bought:

The sales person packaged it really nice, and even gave me a raincoat for the shopping bag!

The bag itself is coated canvas (so not leather), and the only leather in this bag is at the end of the zipper, and it is called vachetta leather. The vachetta leather at first is really pale, but as the time goes on and you use the product it will get this beautiful brown shade. The inside of this bag is fabric.

All the hardware are golden brass metallic. In the inside it also has a little leather thingy, which has the serial number.

The official dimensions are:
Length: 5.5 inches (14cm)
Height: 3.5 inches (8.9cm)
Width: 0.8 inches (about 2cm)

However, the bag is a little bit bigger that it says on the official website.

The chain is quite heavy, which adds a more luxurious feel to the bag. It is detachable from the other end, and can be attached for example to a bag, or then it can be used as a wristlet.

Even though this bag is quite small, it can fit a lot of stuff!! I managed to put my phone (iPhone 5), cardholder, passport, lipbalm and some gum, and there still room for more, and I was thinking about using this combination when I travel in the airplane.
Other combination: I put my phone, keyholder, cardholder, lipbalm, travalo perfume, gum and some tissues. This I will be using normally, when I just go out shopping or doing stuff in the city :D

They also gave me a receipt from the store, which has all the details, and I recommend to keep everything you get when you buy something in safe, in case you decide to resell any items in the future. These things can add value to the product, as it states that it is an authentic item. This goes for all designer products.

Most items also come with a dustbag, which they recommend you store your products in when you are not using them.

So this is a really good piece from Louis Vuitton, and I think a good product to start your LV collection! It is very versatile and compact!

I hope you liked this post, I will do more of these in the future, if someone wants it!!

Thank you for reading!!

UGG AUSTRALIA REVIEW!

Hollaa!

Even though the weather here in the UK has not been so cold yet, I have still started to wear my lovely Uggs. I think Uggs are the perfect cold weather shoes, they are stylish, simple, WARM and durable if you take good care of them.

http://www.uggaustralia.co.uk/

I currently have one pair, which I bought last year. They are the Classic Mini boots in black colour and their price today online is £130. When I bought them the sales person told me to buy a spray that makes them water proof. They sell that online and in their stores, but I think they are pretty expensive when you can get a bottle for about 10 pounds from a normal department store. So I bought his Woly waterproof spray and followed the instructions on the bottle.

This spray works amazingly!!
The spray blocks dirt too, so it is easy to wipe clean with a dry paper towel. I maintain the shoes with spraying this every now and then, very irregularly though, because the first time you do it, it is supposed to last forever. I have never washed these, only wiped them with dry paper towels. I think black is a color you can see dirt very easily, whereas when they get wet, you can't see it. The brown coloured Uggs show wetness easily, and you cant really see dirt on them.

These shoes are not really good for your feet, mainly because the sole is flat and doesn't support your feet. So I don't recommend using these as work shoes, or if you are travelling and walking for long times without resting. For everyday use these are PERFECT! One thing I had to be careful back in Finland, ICE. When it is icy, you have to be very careful, as the bottom of the shoe is plastic-y material, and doesn't have any spikes or support against the ice.

If you are considering buying Uggs, my tip is that when you are trying the shoes on and if it feels a little tight, take them! This is because the bottom and the lining is lamb fur, so when you use it, the shoe gets more loose when the fur goes down.
Overall, I LOVE these shoes and I will probably be always using them when its cold! Especially in Finland these were really convenient in the snow and cold.

What do you think about Uggs? Do you own any of them?

Wilko & Superdrug HAUL+REVIEW (St. Moriz, Herbal Essences, Nivea, Vaseline...)

Hello!

When I moved to the UK I realized that here is SO much more stores just for beauty products, and regular stores offer a bigger collection of products! So needless to say I was excited :D!
So, this month I went to Superdrug and Wilko, and I thought it would be fun to show what I got, and tell a little about the products :)

Hope you like it!

From Superdrug:
Simple, Kind to Skin, protecting light moisturiser SPF 15.
Carmex, Lime Twist moisturising lip balm SPF 15.
Vaseline, Spray&Go, body moisturiser in aloe fresh scent.

So, I've had these products for a while now and can definitely tell a little about them.

I really wanted to like the moisturiser from Simple, but it is not good! I had acne last year, and finally got rid of it this summer, and this product almost gave it back. I like the concept, moisturising, not oily, SPF 15, vitamins and suitable for sensitive skin. BUT after two days of using it I got two blemishes on my skin, and after 5 days of using it, I had five pimples and then decided to stop using it. When I went back to my old moisturiser, my face cleared back to normal. I think it is the SPF which clogged my pores and caused the blemishes. So, if you have acne-prone skin, I wouldn't recommend this moisturiser for you. If you have normal, oily skin (because it is a light moisturiser, so not for dry skin), but you don't tend to get blemishes, I think this product would be worth a try :)

I LOVE this lip balm from Carmex!! The moisture lasts for a long time, and the scent is fresh. I like how it tingles on my lips when I put it on, it means its doing something :D AND it also has SPF 15, which is always nice to have.

Easy, breezy, Vaseline. This moisturiser is so convenient! I spray it on my legs and arms and then just rub it in and wait for a moment, and it leaves the skin soft and moist (hate that word :D), but not greasy as it says on the bottle too. It is not as fast as they promise on the packaging, you do have to wait for a while to let it sink in your body. This would be great in the hot summer days, because it also has a cooling effect when you spray it on, which lasts for a while. The only bad thing about this I have to mention, is that it sprays a little all over the place! So I don't recommend using this in a bathroom, where the floor may be wet, it will get slippery..

From Wilko:
Herbal Essences Fresh balance, clarifying shampoo.
Nivea Lip Butter, in the scent Blueberry Blush.
Nivea, Daily essentials, light moisturising day cream SPF 15.
St. Moriz, Instant self tanning mousse, Dark.
Imperial Leather, Foamburst, luxurious body wash, in the scent uplifting lime & grapefruit.

LUV this Herbal Essences clarifying shampoo. It leaves my hair very smooth and clean, as it promises. It also says on the bottle that it will leave your hair smelling citrusy, but to me it smells like artificial watermelon scent, which is really nice :D. I don't use this shampoo every day, because it is kinda harsh on your hair, and leaves it dry if using it every day. So if you already have really dry and damaged, especially dyed, hair, I would be careful with this.

Nivea lip butter leaves your lips very smooth and it smells very nice! I like this product soooo much, I have it in another scent too, vanilla & macadamia, also really good. I use this every night, and my lips are smooth in the morning too. They both have shea butter and almond oil, which are moisturising ingredients.

This Nivea light moisturising day cream I actually bought today to replace my Simple moisturiser. I am a little skeptical, because this also has SPF 15, so we will see how my skin reacts to this :D I hope it is good tho, and will write a review on that if someone is interested! It promises to provide "intensive" moisture and refresh the skin. It also has vitamin E and some other fancy stuff :D

I'm not gonna talk about this St. Moriz instant self tanning mousse so much, because I was thinking about doing a tanning routine post or maybe a video :o If some one is interested :D So I will talk about that more later. Briefly, it is a good self tanner :)

Last, Imperial Leather, foamburst body wash was just an experiment and I was so excited :D It just caught my eye and I have never tried one of these before so I decided to try it. I like the concept, how it promises that the lather will glide on your skin like silk and leaves it soft and smooth. It is supposed to be so smooth, that you could shave with it. Now, the consistency is very weird. When you spray it, it feels like shaving gel, and when you start to lather it, it starts to smell a lot like chemicals. It is nice and it leaves my skin clean, like a normal body wash, but I guess my expectations were too high for this product :D

Das it.

I will do these hauls more on the future and also I will review the Nivea moisturiser and St. Moriz tanning mousse in the future too. I hope someone liked this post and find it helpful :) Comments are always welcome, so if there is anything you want to say or ask, leave it in the comments!

Thank you for reading!
